Female Onyx clownfish.

Welcome!

This website is devoted my hobby of reefkeeping and captive breeding of marine fish and coral species. I have been involved in reefkeeping since 2003 when I started my 46 gallon, bow front reef tank. I currently have a 65 gallon reef system, which you can learn more about here.

I am a freshwater fisheries biologist and am also in training to become a high school environmental science teacher, both of which make me passionate about conservation. Most saltwater fish (>90%) purchased for home aquaria are wild fish. Not only are wild fish difficult to acclimate to aquaria, but collection of wild fish from reefs for sale puts fragile reef ecosystems at risk, endangering these beautiful treasures. Captive breeding of many marine species is challenging but great strides have been made of late towards captive breeding and rearing of clownfish, in particular. I am currently breeding A. ocellaris clowns, gold stripe maroon clowns, and blue neon gobies.  I have many other broodstock pairs that I am hoping will spawn.

I've included some information about my reef tank, my captive breeding efforts, my current and previous livestock, a photo gallery, and some valuable links. Enjoy!
